Morocco Defeat Cameroon, Seal AFCON 2025 Semi-Final Spot

Morocco secured a convincing 2–0 victory over Cameroon in their AFCON 2025 quarter-final clash played yesterday, booking their place in the semi-finals of the tournament.

The Atlas Lions delivered a composed and disciplined performance in front of their home supporters, showing why they remain one of the tournament favorites.

The hosts took control early in the match, dominating possession and pressing Cameroon high up the pitch. Their pressure paid off in the first half when Brahim Díaz opened the scoring with a well-taken finish, sending the Moroccan fans into celebration and putting Cameroon on the back foot.

Cameroon struggled to respond despite introducing attacking changes in the second half. Morocco remained solid defensively and continued to threaten on the counterattack, with their midfield dictating the tempo and limiting the Indomitable Lions’ attacking opportunities.

Morocco sealed the win late in the game with a second goal, effectively ending Cameroon’s hopes of a comeback. The goal underlined Morocco’s efficiency and tactical discipline as they managed the game confidently until the final whistle.

With this result, Morocco advance to the AFCON 2025 semi-finals, keeping alive their dream of lifting the trophy on home soil. Cameroon, meanwhile, exit the competition after a disappointing outing, as Morocco continue their impressive march toward continental glory.
